At Alegre Animal Hospital, we know pets are family.
Our boarding facility is designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and caring home-away-from-home for both dogs and cats while you’re away.
Whether your pet is staying for a weekend, an extended trip, or holiday boarding, we strive to make every stay relaxing and enjoyable. Because our boarding facility is connected to our veterinary hospital, pet owners also have the added peace of mind of on-site medical support if needed.
Boarding Requirements
Vaccination
Rabies vaccination is required for both canine and feline guests.
Dogs must have a current combination DA2PP vaccine, either a one-year or a three-year, Bordetella and Influenza vaccine. Cats are required to have a current FVRCP vaccine vaccination.
If you choose or need to update your pet’s vaccinations before an expected stay with us, you must do that ten days before your pet’s visit.
Fleas & Ticks
If any pet is observed to have fleas or ticks, we will give them a mandatory flea and tick treatment, which will be added to your bill.
